<description>hey mate, been watching this guy(Jamie) for awhile now, my question to you though is - does he stay within the 84 degree framework, or is he just incredible gifted at syncing up this massively long swing at 165 pounds, and I find his head position interesting- that far behind the ball? B

Really a good question - thanks! Keep in mind that the 84 degree line only works for irons. This is due to the fact that as the stance widens (which it does with a driver) the line is pushed out away from the body, thus making it very difficult to get the back side flush against the line prior to transition.
Jamie does seem to get his head a long way behind the ball - this is due to multiple reasons; the first being that the ball is positioned well forward which gives the head the appearance of being further back; and secondly, all long drivers need to hit up on the ball anywhere from +7 to +12 degrees according to Trackman. This requirement would cause the head and upperbody to stay back more than a tour golfer for example. hope these answers help and I appreciate the questions.
Cheers,
