About Andrew

Andrew circa 1988 Just another wayward tee ball....
Originally from South Africa, Andrew Rice has been involved with the game of golf for almost 30 years.
Rice began playing the game at an early age and participated in countless junior events in South Africa with fellow competitors Ernie Els and Retief Goosen.
Rice received a scholarship to the University of Central Florida where he lead his team to two NCAA final berths and in 1991 finished as a 2nd Team All-American with Justin Leonard. In 1990 and 1991, Rice was also an Academic All-American.
Following college, Rice pursued his professional career by playing in various South African Events and Mini-Tour Events. His passion soon lead him to instruction. He began working for David Leadbetter at the Junior Golf Academy in Florida where he remained as a Senior Instructor for more than six years.
Rice has coached PGA, LPGA and Champions Tour golfers along with multiple USGA champions.
Rice has also coached several of the world’s top amateurs, ranging from juniors to seniors, and is currently the Director of Instruction at Berkeley Hall where he teaches all levels of players.
He is currently writing his first instructional book titled, “It’s All About Impact – The Winners of 165 Majors Prove It!” In it, he studies the swings of the top 25 golfers of the steel shaft era, separating modern day swing style from some all important substance. The book is slated to be published in the Fall of 2009.
